The Camelot Challenge

Five intrepid members of the Purbeck Runners took on the Camelot Challenge half marathon in the land of King Arthur last Saturday. Rose Clark, Belinda Bolar, Emma Risk, Tish Alberry and Tracey Colquhoun (left to right in the picture above) set off from Sherborne for the tough 13 mile run through the stunning but hilly (over 1,700 feet of ascent) countryside of Dorset and Somerset, passing many of the sites of the Camelot legends. The five completed the challenge on a blazingly sunny day, foregoing the free lunch at a pub half way! It was an epic day out with breath-taking views and a very friendly atmosphere to the race, demonstrating the very best of trail running.
